Marriage Rights for Everyone
I am so grateful and so happy that the state of Maine, has legalized marriage for same-sex couples.
Believing deeply in every person's right to make a life-long commitment to the person they love, Unitarian Universalists have performed marriage and commitment ceremonies for gay and lesbian folks since the 1970's. I have been proud to wade in the great progressive tradition of my faith by officiating at these ceremonies. I am incredibly excited that I can sign wedding licenses for same-sex couples now. It is a great privilege and honor for me.
